What is the smallest number of continuous non-overlapping pencil strokes necessary to draw this figure? Rules: 1. One non-overlapping pencil stroke starts when your pencil touches the paper and continues until you pick your pencil up. your line may turn as many times as you wish. 2. No two lines may cross or overlap at any point. An example of what overlapping means is in the pictures below. 3. The first person to email me (awickeham@gmail.com) with the correct number will receive a prize. an example of how you drew it is not necessary. Bonus question: Why can't you draw this in less pencil strokes? Example of an incorrect solution: Starting with this, ...and drawing this line down the middle This is incorrect because it overlaps with the middle line.
