So on Saturday, I was cutting the 1/8" plywood with a utility knife. Because it took me 2 hours to cut the wood, I had a great deal of time to think about how I could do this faster. Then I came across the idea of using a scroll saw because it can cut the thin plywood without splintering. Later that night I looked up the price for the cheapest scroll saw and learned that it was out of my price range. I became frustrated and I knew that there had to be an easier way of cutting this wood. Then I came across a crazy idea, could my jigsaw to hold a scroll saw blade. then I found this website www.steves-workshop.co.uk/tools/scrollsaw/scrollsawindex.htm . I thought, I have to try this. I threw this together in a few hours and it still needs some tweaking. However, I was surprised that it actually works. I thought that this little experiment would inspire other STEM club members to be creative and find a solution to a problem that they might encounter. The $10 was spent on that spring and a box of scroll saw blades. I thought that this would allow me to cut out parts for the quadcopter if we do not have access to the laser cutter over spring break. I decided to make a separate thread from the quadcopter project to improve the chances of other STEM club members seeing my scary, homemade scroll saw.

Lmao oh shit. That thing looks so ghetto it's scary. Glad it works for you but I'll stick to the laser cutter haha.

lol, my uncle is bringing a real scroll saw home tonight. The point of this was to prove that problems can be solved if you are creative.

This is what I am going to use to finish cutting all the plywood. This scroll saw has all the bells and whistles.
