I am going to post material about the 3d printer so we can all learn to use it. I feel that I will not be able to learn how to use the printer without finding outside sources. We need to fight to get the second 3d printer in a better room because engineering classes are in there all day, preventing us from using it when it is most convenient for us. After reading this article, I was extremely frustrated. www.normandale.edu/creating-futures-summer-2013/campus-currents/engineering-donation.htmlhere is a quote from that link “Normandale Community College and their programs align well with our Foundation's mission of supporting education,” said Jessica Exley, President of the Donaldson Foundation. “We applaud Normandale’s commitment to expanding their quality STEM-based curriculum. Having advanced equipment and superior learning experiences are necessary to effectively prepare the next generation of innovators to work at technical companies such as Donaldson.” These printer cost $13,919.50 for the cheapest model and $27,955.40 for the most expensive model. It pains me to think that the printer is not being used as much as it should because to me, that is a good chunk of money. I want to have a serious conversation about this because I am not going to get very many chances to use this printer but at the rate things are going now, I might never. here is the user manual for the 3d printer 3dtiskalniki.si/uploads/files/uPrintSE-SEPlus-UserGuide-EN.pdf

What pissed me off the most were the lab assistants. It seems Jami doesn't even come in sometimes when she's scheduled AND PAID to be there, meanwhile I talked with Rich today about the printer while on the laser cutter and he seemed very unwilling to show me how to use it. I mean what else do they have to do all day? I was going to try and meet with Dean Cary Komoto on Wednesday to sort this BS out.

yeah, at least the people in the engineering lab were more than happy to help Josh and I. The lab assistants before told us that are quadcopter project would not work and they refused to tell us why. I think we should fight to move the equipment because we should be allowed access to the machines on are terms, they were donated for STEM to use.
