I think we really should make a printrbot, they are cheap and they work. The way things are going with the schools 3d printers, this might be the only way to use a 3d printer. Also, if we make a filament extruder, we can buy plastic pellets and make are own filament. This will save a great deal of money and we can also recycle prints if we were to make a mistake. These printrbot's start with a 8" by 8" by 8" print area but could easily be upgraded to print well over 3' by 3' by 3' www.thingiverse.com/thing:16990

I think this is going to be my big project over spring break. I am going to get some 1/4 inch plywood and cut it out on the scroll saw. I am going to make a part assembly in autodesk inventor and post it as soon as I can. If anybody is wondering what the finished printer will look like, here is a image to give you an idea.
